    Week of 6/24-6/30

    Hi Blue Crabs! 

    Congratulations on the first team win in Blue Crabs history this past Saturday! We amassed an incredible 419 team points to the 213 points for the Riptides. Well done!

    Thank you to all of our coaches, swimmers, volunteers, and spectators who made yesterday so successful and memorable.     SHOUT-OUTS

    Despite the heat and no starting blocks, our swimmers had some amazing accomplishments on Saturday! There was a total of 196 personal bests spread across 103 different swimmers. You can see everyone who achieved a personal best and/or scored points for the team here. We also had 17 individual team records set and 1 relay record set (view our team records here): 

    • 7-8: Reese Douty (25 breast), Piper Wowk (50 free)
    • 9-10: Alberto Nevares (100 IM), William Pullen (25 free)
    • 11-12: Carmen Nevares (100 IM, 50 back, 100 free)
    • 13-14: Amir Hussein (50 fly), Kyleigh Kauflin (50 back, 100 free, 50 fly), Grace O’Malley (50 breast), Jarret Zhou (50 back)
    • 15-18: Korey Kauflin (50 free, 100 free), Zach Missigman (50 back)
    • Girls Crescendo Relay: Reese Douty, Maria Molina, Carmen Nevares, Kyleigh Kauflin, Brenna Davies

    We also had 5 additional swimmers achieve all-star times for the FSSL, bringing our team total to 21 qualifiers: Lucas Chang (IM, 25 breast, 50 free), Brenna Davies (50 free), Zach Missigman (50 breast), Connor Stanley (50 free, IM, 50 back, 100 free), and Spencer Stanley (50 free, 50 back, 100 free).

    Congratulations to all our swimmers on their outstanding accomplishments!


    Team T-Shirt Pick-Up

    If you haven’t yet picked up your 2024 team t-shirt, we will be handing these out during practices on Monday and Tuesday. Please stop by the Blue Crabs tent to pick yours up!


    Our Meet This Week

    • Meet Details: This week we have our next HOME meet versus the Landsdale Lightning. Our meet theme will be Party in the USA! Wear your red, white, and blue, your cowboy hats, and anything else to show-off your American spirit!
    • Swimmer Entry: Whether you plan to attend the meet or not, please take a moment to declare whether your swimmer will be “attending” or “not attending” the meet. In order to participate in the meet, this must be completed no later than Tuesday, June 25 at 10:00 PM.
    • Volunteer: If you haven’t yet had the opportunity, please take a moment to sign-up to help out at this week’s meet. Thank you!

    • Declare your swimmer(s): Please declare your swimmer as either “attending the meet” or “not attending the meet” by 10:00 PM on Tuesday.

    • Mini Crabs practice from 5:40-6:10 PM

    • Meet vs. Landsdale: The meet will begin at 8:00 AM. Please plan to arrive between 6:45 and 7:00 AM to get your swimmer(s) checked-in for the meet. Swimmer warm-ups will be from 7:10-7:30 AM. Full meet information is available here. The meet theme will be Party in the USA!
