Hello Swim Families!

The Villages of Urbana summer swim teams—the Blue Crabs and the Seahawks—are looking forward to an exciting, splash-filled season ahead!

Registration for both teams will open to returning families at 6am on April 1 and to new families on April 15. Participation fees will be the same for each team, and registration will take place on each teams respective website:

Just a quick note: if your family swam for one community team last season and plans to join the other this year, you’ll be considered a new family and will need to wait until April 15 to register. Registration for both teams is on a first-come, first-served basis.

One of the things that we are most excited about this season is the chance for our two teams to team up for some awesome joint events. This will be a great opportunity to make new memories, cheer each other on, improve in the pool, and build lasting friendships. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store this summer:

• Joint stroke-and-turn clinics at Stone Barn on Tuesday afternoons: June 17, June 24, July 8, and July 15
• A friendly dual meet showdown between our two teams hosted by the Blue Crabs on June 28
• After the meet on June 28, stick around for an epic pool party at Stone Barn for all Blue Crabs and Seahawks families—running until 2pm
• A mighty mini meet on July 17 for Blue Crabs and Seahawks swimmers 8-and-under (pre-team included!)

We can’t wait for a summer full of swimming, cheering, laughter, and community spirit.
